Back Pain

Regardless of your activity level, back pain is an all-too-common issue for many with a wide range of severity, the worst of which can be chronic, severe and debilitating. Lower back pain, or lumbar pain is most often caused by sprains, strains, and disc degeneration. Although difficult to bear, these issues can often be effectively diagnosed and treated through conservative (non-surgical) approaches, including medication, rest, and physical therapy.

When these noninvasive methods do not alleviate pain or improve mobility, or when there is an underlying condition or disorder, surgery may be required. Depending on the condition, several advanced surgical techniques are available, including cervical arthroplasty, cervical fusions, discetomy, fluoroscopy, laminectomy, laminotomy, kyphoplasty, minimally invasive spine surgery, as well as spinal fusion.
